I’m a photographer based in East Anglia, and I specialise in spontaneous wedding and lifestyle photography.
I’ve had a love of photography for as long as I can remember, but it was the photographic work of my parents, capturing my early years living between England, Borneo and Sudan, that inspired me to take it up as a hobby. My childhood memories have been hugely supplemented by those old photographs, and when I look back through them, I’m struck by how powerfully they evoke the emotions and memories of that time, even years later.
But it was after a year-long sabbatical, during which I travelled across Russia, Mongolia, China and South East Asia, that I decided to turn my passion for photography into a business. Having a full year away gave me the opportunity to really explore the art and I realised that this was something I wanted to pursue.
Then in 2005 I got married, and we were lucky enough to find two superb photographers for our big day. Their fresh approach and relaxed, spontaneous style, led me to think about wedding and portrait photography in a different way, and this is reflected in my work today.
